April 19th, 2005 10:55 AM #1ask ko lng gaano ba katagal bago magpalinis uli ng aircon? every 6 months ba? eh paano kng bihira ko gamitin 6months pa rin ba?? as in once a week ko lng gamitin thnx

wen ur evaporator is icing up n restricted airflow occurs then its cleaning time. 6 months is too often unless u use it all d tym.

boydapa: AFAIK once a year would be more than enough. BTW does your car have an in cabin filter?

April 19th, 2005 11:20 AM #4wala naman sya filter. bihira ko tlaga gamitin aircon ko ksi malapit lng work ko 4kms lng and maswerte na kng gamitin ko sya ng 1 beses sa isang linggo. tama ba yun evaporator lng ang nililinis dyan? ano pa? yun lng ksi madalas ko makita nililinis eh

my rule of thumb when it comes to car A/C system, if it ain't broke, don't touch it.
Nadala na ako sa A/C cleaning, sa previous car ko once a year ako nagpapalinis, pagkatapos malinis humihilaw yung lamig.
Sa oto ko ngayon, hanggat lumalamig or walang sira yung A/C di ko pinagagalaw.

Keeping your passenger side clean will help extend the cleaning period since that's where your evap is as well.

April 19th, 2005 02:45 PM #9If you can access the air intake, which is usually found when you remove your glove compartment, then put a 3M aircon filter cut as per size. You just replace the filter every 3 - 6 months. It prevents dust from accumulating inside the evaporator assembly. Then you don't need your aircon de-gassed for cleaning.

dats a great idea! masubukan nga. alam ko yun itura ng evaporator tapos may case sya na plastic saan yun intake dun? sya nga pla disabled na yun air intake galing labas ng oto papunta sa loob ng kotse---pinadisable ko ksi pumapasok yun usok minsan(tama ba yun). ang alam ko meron outlet ng cold air sa may baba ng evaporator, may intake din ba dun ng hangin(para sa air filter)?
