removed the fan (sa lancer, located yan sa likod ng glove compartment), nasa loob ng parang blower housing, fixed by screws.

after removing everything, tried running the fan outside the housing. ayun. ayaw tumakbo. parang stuck up yung motor. what i did is to temporary sprayed the moving parts with WD40, ang medyo tumakbo. yun nga lang maingay dahil parang may resistance. this is the same as yung ordinary electric fan na may resistance sa propeler kaya ayaw tumakbo kaagad once you switch it on. so definitely, baka carbon brushing problem.

tried sourcing out for parts dun sa may amin sa las pinas... one shop carried auto aircon parts (including compressors, evaporators, blowers, expansion valves, anything, as long as car aircon... in fact, nakakita pa nga ako ng mga vents for L300 eh....). pinakamalapit na blower is 2200.00 pesos. denso brand (which is also the same brand nung lancer). pag balik ko sa house, baliktad ang takbo ng fan, so that sobrang hina ng hangin. tried exchanging my stock fan dun sa bagong motor, pero mas malala... walang lumalabas na hangin....

just returned that part (buti na lang, ni-refund). sabi ko di pwede.... although, may mga na try pa akong ibang brand new blowers from the same store, pero hindi sya kasya sa blower housing so di makaikot maigi yung fan.

temporary solution: again cleaned the fan and the motor. kinabit ko ulit... although tumatakbo sya, medyo maingay and nakakaasiwa. will try to have the motor opened sa aking suking electrician next weekend. in the meantime, pagtitiisan ko muna yung ingay... malamig naman eh....

for information: eldorado and citimotors (nag canvass din ako dun nung saturday), carries the part. but for a very huge amount of 12800 pesos.

woohoo! sabi na nga ba eh.. motor yan kc on and off sya tapos pag may lubak un gagana na nman.. experienced ko dati yan sa corolla ko.. denso din syempre..

unforgetable ang sakin kasi 4,000+ sh*t ang brand new pag balik ko . ouch!

yup. 4k+++. tumawag ako kanina sa denso makati. 4k daw brand new nito.

let me update this thread.

since i find 4k very unreasonable, i decided to open the actual fan blower motor, last weekend, since i have lots of spare time in my hands (being a three day weekend).

my point is that if i can repair an electric fan motor, i think i can repair a car fan blower motor. pag nasira ko, then tsaka bibili. i know deep inside na madumi lang and baka kailangan lang ng linis or something (lam ko kasi, matagal ang life ng blower fans ng aircon eh...) at least, i've really don't want to get a surplus one dahil based on my previous experiences in using surplus, nasisira din yan after six months or so. having an experience too with the way electrical motors work too posed an advantage (course ko nung college).

so, tried to open everything, only to prove na hindi sya sealed type gaya ng sabi ng mga taga DENSO. you just have to remember every nuts, bolts and latches that are really made to fit in every nook in cranny. had everything opened after one hour (excluding disassembly time from the blower casing, which took me around 10 minutes or so...)

nung nabuksan ko, nyek! sobrang dumi ng loob. pero all of the wirings are still new and intact, walang sunog or something. the carbon brush is still good/ so i figured it out na hindi kailangang i-rewire or something and that the reason for this problem is because of the thick dirt inside...

ginawa ko, brush lang tsaka konting WD-40 tsaka sandpaper. had it put back together (mas mahirap magbuo, took me around 2.5 hours to put it all back).

when i tested the fan.... VIOLA! working properly, nawala ang ingay. nung kinabit ko yung fan, parang bago....

had it put back sa blower housing, nakow..... works like brand new. lamig-lamig ngayon ng lumalabas na hangin, wala pang kaingay-ingay.

in conclusion:

a. madumi yung loob ng motor;
b. masikip yung pagkakakabit ng fan resulting in sa ingay.
c. and i've saved 4k (from denso) or 12.8k (from eldorado and casa).
d. contented knowing you did a good job.

(siguro pwede ko ng gawing sideline to, pag nag-retire na ako. hehehehe)

mahal talaga yan, unless you get one from surplus shops. nakakataka lang kung baket ambilis nasira ng sayo. may car ako na lancer 93, napalitan na ang buong A/C system except the blower. usually the surplus runs from 800 - 1500. brand new taiwan would cost you 5k, original would be 8-12k (i think).

yun din ang pinagtataka ko. masyadong maaga kung sira nga.. kasi yung singkot ko na 1991 model, nung binitiwan ko nung year 2002 napalitan na ang lahat except blower.pero as i've posted above, hindi sya sira.... madumi lang talaga.

mga sirs, tanong ko lang kung related yung problem ng corolla '96 XE ko.

pag nag idle (5-10 minutes) ng matagal AND nasa # 2 yung blower/fan ng aircon, tumataas yung temperature pero as soon as pinatay ko yung aircon, bumabalik na sa normal temp range (halfway thru the temp gauge). Pag #1 lang yung blower/fan ng aircon, i dont notice this pheonomenon.

any suggestions? anu ang kailangan kong patignan?

hindi sya blower fan problem. more of an auxilliary fan or a thermostat problem, i think.
