by sundaydriver (blog entry ) i thought i was going to spend the whole day in bed today. the weather was perfect for it. i even planned out what fast-food deliveries to contact in case i got hungry. "it was a day of complete uselessness" so i told myself. Buhay baboy. but then early in the morning i got a text message asking if i was awake, followed by a call from a familiar voice that asked if i had any plans today. naturally i said no. she said she wanted pasta. immediately i began drumming up the lamest excuse so I could stay in bed. Perhaps even convince her to come over hehe? But no, she had made her mind up and even offered to pick me up. Being the half-hearted gentleman, I politely countered her offer. It’s not a problem she said, in fact she was on the road already. That got me shaved and showered up in 10 minutes flat. As I was choosing my underwear (yes guys do choose underwear too) I got to thinking…she’s quite a pushy lassy isn’t she. But what’s even more intriguing is how I’m falling prey to her “suggestions”. |

by sundaydriver (blog entry ) sobrang lakas ng ulan these past few days. kaya din siguro sobrang tindi ng traffic. usually, when it rains i opt to let the traffic pass. have a beer somewhere or grab a bite at the nearest el-cheapo resto. pero this wednesday i decided to brave the traffic despite the heavy rains. sabi nila real men don't bring umbrellas kaya heto ako nagpapaka-macho sa silong ng building entrance namin. a handful of other people were there too, nagpapatila ng ulan. my car was actually around 30 steps away but the rain was really bad. nung humina na i pressed the alarm button para mabuksan na yung kotse bago ko takbuhin. the familiar beep sounded and my lights flashed. sa periphery ko i saw someone turn to look in my direction then look away again. i glanced to my side and found a lady in a pencil cut skirt and a white polo. very typical outfit of makati girls. Well ok she was cute too. |

by sundaydriver (blog entry ) the bigger the ego. well that's what they say. i hadn't really noticed till my friend actually mentioned this recently. her: bakit ang yabang mag-drive ng mga naka-fortuner? me: ha? di naman siguro lahat her: they always drive like they own the roads me: maybe they do... her: if i owned the roads i wouldn't buy a fortuner me: meaning? her: it's the cheapest "big" car and people act as if they're driving expeditions. |

by sundaydriver (blog entry ) they say driving is one of man's simplest joys. i remember seeing an ad for the VW Golf which ended with the tagline "when was the last time you just went for a drive?" thinking about it i never did...especially here in manila. why? 'coz everywhere you look drivers are breaking the rules, testing your patience and jacking up your blood pressure. |
