Sheesh! our shitty government should give tax exemptions on green cars! besides, I don't even know if that much mpg can pay for itself... 2 million pesos? I'd rather spend that on a city and save the rest to build a new house.

I thought the Phil govt were giving tax exemptions to products that are green? Without the 30% tarrif and the 12%VAT that would bring the cost down to compete with mid size sedans...probably around 1.5million. If this happens Ill get 1!! I recently rode one and the wonderful thing about it is the engine stops when you stop. It tells you immediately if you are using battery or the engine(via a diagram) so you can adjust accordingly. and it makes no sound when on electric mode. Kudos to Toyota for being the pioneer again!!

Hybrid cars are already running in the country and can easily beat the mpg of Toyota Prius. Using water as alternative fuel and is sent through a GEET reactor instead of electricity running a motor. 100mpg and beyond is an easy task for these GEET cars and it doesn't cost millions. Search the internet for GEET and install it. 67mpg is very common in mixed City and provicial roads traffic. Save fuel, minimized pollution and use water instead of poor electric motors with expensive batteries.

For lubricants, make use of Palm oil or our very own coconut oil, these oils are far better than your current engine oil. Palm oil or coconut oil does not need regular oil topping and does not burn in the combustion chamber unlike mineral based oil. This simple solutions will help your engine live longer and minimized pollution.

Who needs a million pesos hybrid when you can make your own with off the shelf parts from the plumbing store and local hardware for parts and implement GEET on your gasoline and diesel engines?

What is Toyota up to know launching a previous gen PRIUS priced at par with an entry level luxury segment price? I could swallow up the irony of getting a Luxury car like a Merc or a BMW diesel reeling towards efficiency. But a Toyota for 2 million +? forget about getting 50mpg and get a decent subcompact and a million peso worth of gas to spend!
