19th Trans Sport Show Opens April 21 at the SM Megamall

Witness the most exciting battle of tricked out cars and restored vintages at the 19th edition of the Trans Sport Show brought to you by TradeShow International, Caltex with Techron and Solar Auto Club.

More than 80 of the best dressed cars in the country will be on display at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall competing for the distinction of being called the best show car in the country.

Also on display will be some of the finest vintage cars restored by their owners to pristine condition. These are the cars we enjoyed from yesteryears.

“The 19th Caltex Trans Sport Show will be the most prestigious car show and competition the Philippines will see. Philippine Auto Parts Makers Target ASEAN market

Philippine automotive manufacturers are now aggressively promoting its products in the ASEAN market starting in Thailand, the region’s automotive hub.

This developed as the local auto parts makers are going to participate for the first time in the Thailand Auto Parts and Accessories (TAPA), the largest auto parts and accessories trade fair in Thailand, reported the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), an attached agency of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The auto show is identified as an important sourcing event for international players in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) market. Industry reports say that the ASEAN region has a promising global market for the automotive industry with sales amounting to 2 million vehicles in 2008. ASEAN countries are attracting major investments in vehicle production and because of growing demand; some major auto companies are in want of a production hub in ASEAN next to Thailand. Read more

RP-Made Vintage Jeep Takes Center Stage in Taiwan Auto Show

A vintage Willys military jeep is the centerpiece of Philippine-made motor vehicle parts and accessories on display at the Philippine Pavilion of the 2009 Taipei International Auto Parts (AMPA) running from April 14 to 17, 2009 at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taiwan.

The display is a joint project of the Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (MVPMAP), the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

“It is the first time for the Philippines to participate in the Taipei AMPA Show, considered as the premier auto parts show in Asia.
