Transport Show 2009 Photos and Video

The finest array of restored vintage and contemporary cars came out in full force at the Transport Show 2009 which opened last April 22 to 26, 2009 at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall, Building B, Mandaluyong City.

Organized by TradeShow International, Inc. (TSI), Trans Sport Show has drawn the support and participation of Filipino car aficionados and craftsmen who display a keen passion for automobiles.

“Trans Sport Show has always maintained a good number of vintage cars to show every year, combined with the contemporary custom cars,” TSI President Sophie delos Santos said. Indeed, since its inception in 1992 as a general automotive show, Trans Sport Show has evolved into one of the most popular automotive events that car-savvy individuals swarm to. It is the longest running motoring event in the country that car enthusiasts of all ages could easily identify with.

Fil-Am Drifter Steals Show at the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Lance Feliciano, the only Filipino to be issued a competition license by the United States’ Formula D Series—a championship for professional drift drivers, drew a huge crowd during the 14th Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark Airfield, Pampanga recently.

Feliciano, who was flagged-off by veteran touring car champion Kookie Ramirez and Riz Dalangin of BF Goodrich, performed a spectacular drifting exhibition on the runway of the Air Force City, where he executed Scandinavian drifts, snappy transitions and tire burns to the delight of the amused crowd. He elicited gasps and squeals when he ran tight “doughnuts” (consecutive 360-degree turns) around selected members of the audience, including Kim Atienza, the host of Umagang Kay Ganda of ABS-CBN. US-Based Pinoy Racer Lance Feliciano to Drift on BF Goodrich Tires

Lance  Feliciano, the only Filipino to be issued a competition license by the United States’ Formula D Series, a championship for professional drift drivers, will use BF Goodrich Tires during a series of drift exhibitions which will be held from February 12 to 15 at the 2009 Phil Swiss Motorfest at the Clark Kart Track and Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, in Clark Airfield, Pampanga.

According to Feliciano, “Drifting involves precision and you need to have a well-tuned, perfectly conditioned, rear-wheel drive car with a good suspension and tires that can stand the strain of drifting.”  He added, “You can go through a full set of tires in less than a day of competition, which is why it is important to have excellent rubber mounted on your wheels like BF Goodrich.” Read more

2008 Autofocus Motorshow & Auto Expo Begins at the Fort

It has been considered as “one of the biggest and widest displays of 2008 models ever assembled in one venue” – there for the motoring public to see and test drive. Car Show Highlights Tuna Festival in General Santos City

The GenSan Street Tuners group will be presenting the First Tuna Festival Car Show as part of the highlights of this year’s 10th Tuna Festival. The Car Show, which includes car show festivities, sound competitions and drag racing, wil be held on September 5 to 6, 2008 at the Gaisano Mall of Gensan and the Sinawal Circumferencial Road.

The 10th Tuna Festival, in commemoration of General Santos City’s 40th Charterhood Day unfolds from August 29 to September 7, 2008. For this year, the festival theme is: “A decade of fish-tivities and oppor-Tuna-ties”.
