Now that the Ford Mustang V6 achieves 30 miles per gallon on the highway, General Motors is apparently looking to up its game by offering a more efficient version of its Camaro ponycar. Reportedly given the 2LS trim designation, this new Camaro will be available for order through dealers starting at the end of this month, and its 3.6-liter direct-injected V6 reportedly hits the magic 30 mpg highway figure.

If GMInsideNews has it right, the Camaro 2LS will only be available with The General’s six-speed automatic transmission, and will be fitted with a rear spoiler, 18-inch steel wheels and a 2.92 rear axle ratio. The website also reports that the Camaro 2LS will still wear a 2011 model year badge, and that pricing is expected to be set around $24,700, including destination charges.
