Ford is looking back over the year that just was with an eye toward examining how well its employees performed. The automaker has told its workers that no raises are in order, which can be tough to hear. On the flip side, the Blue Oval is strongly crawling back from the financial downturn and is prepared to hand out bonuses to deserving workers.

Profit sharing payments are still being calculated, and the New York Times estimates that employees could earn as much as $5,000. That’s a nice bump over the $450 they earned for the 2009 fiscal year. Ford has stated the the NYT estimate is a tad high, but we’ll see who’s right when the checks start rolling out in mid-March.
