Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) has boosted their vehicle sales campaign with opportunities to test-drive the 2009 Alterra around Metro Manila.

The ‘2009 Alterra Customer Test-drive’ held recently at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City, where IPC held a two-day run. The activity then moved to an open field at Bonifacio Global City.

“We are offering test drives for the Alterra in response to reports that a big bulk of sales happen after customers were allowed to drive the vehicles. With this information, we decided to hold the test drive activities to further reach out to customers and show them what Isuzu has to offer,” said Myrna Valle-Gonzales, IPC asst. division manager, dealer network.

According to Gonzales, most of the customers who visited the Isuzu booth asking for a test-drive, were families with kids.

“One thing we noticed is that a lot of the good feedback we got came from the passengers, particularly the kids who took the backseat of the Alterra. They said they enjoyed the Alterra’s entertainment system, where they were able to watch video clips from the seven-inch headrest-mounted LCD monitors, not to mention the comfort of having generous space not usually enjoyed in other family vehicles.”

The Alterra’s LCD monitors is complemented by a 5.1 surround audio-video entertainment system. An integrated audio-video console box makes it convenient for backseat occupants to plug in their in-car entertainment accessories.

The 2009 Alterra is powered by a 3.0-liter 4JJ1-TC common-rail direct injection diesel engine, which already meets Euro 3 emissions standards.

“And since it’s Isuzu, our customers are sure to get the best fuel mileage from their vehicle,” said Gonzales.

Seven 2009 Alterra stood by waiting for customers to drive them. The customer test drive event will be in Quezon City next week. Plans of holding the activity in Cebu and Davao are also being prepared.

“Aside from holding regular test-drives, we’re also looking into allowing our regular patrons to bring home a 2009 Alterra which they can use for a few days and help them come-up with the decision of buying one,” Gonzales said.
