First Look: Honda plus adventure equals Crosstourer motorcycle, and they’re not teasing
Filed under: Honda, Motorcycle, Off-Road
It seems that Honda’s two-wheeled operations have been running faithfully on the mantra “a day late and a dollar short” over the last few years. Despite a slew of new releases, including a production chopper to a futuristic maxi-scooter, Honda has had a hard time hitting the mark with the American motorcycle market. As the adventure motorcycle segment remains white-hot, Honda’s V-4 Crosstourer concept may just be the wing-and-prayer that Big Red needs to remind us that it can build awesome motorcycles. After all, you meet the nicest people on a Honda, right?
What we do know is the world is not supposed to see these photos for a few more days, the Crosstourer has a very BMW GS-esque appearance, a Ducati Multistrada beak sprinkled in and its obviously shaft drive and shod with a set of spoke wheels. It is rumored that Honda’s new do-all will use a version of the 1200cc V-4 currently doing VFR duty, with a smaller 800cc model close on its heels. Click past the break for the official press release.
