In the run-up to Tsikot.com/s 10th anniversary in 2012, Tsikot.com (in cooperation with the Gamma Beta Epsilon Fraternity of the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery) invites you to SHIFT 2011, a Tsikot Mini-Eyeball Party on August 20, 2011, Saturday, at Fiamma located at 32 Jupiter St., Bel-Air Village, Makati from 9:00 Pm to 3:00 AM.

We know each other by their nicknames/handles at tsikot.com. It’s about time that we get to know the people behind the nicks. So come August 20, let’s meet-up, say hi and get to know each other more. Maybe we can laugh over some funny threads or continue the more popular discussions offline. And don’t worry, no one can delete or edit you offline!

The damage is only P300.00. This will entitle one to enter and avail of free-flowing beer from SAN MIGUEL BEER and cocktails by MYX MOBILE Bar.

There will be a mini-car show of around 5-6 cars to be displayed at Fiamma’s parking space in front. Master jedi is in charge of coordination for the Tsikot Mini Carshow.

By May 11, 12 or 13, 2011 (Wednesday, Thursday or Friday this week) the process to finally transfer the Tsikot.com community from tsikot.yehey.com to its own domain (and servers) tsikot.com will commence. All the files, threads, posts, gallery images and classified listings will be transferred over to the tsikot.com domain.

As such, the different URLs of the present site (tsikot.yehey.com/) will now be located at tsikot.com/. Therefore:

tsikot.yehey.com/forums –> tsikot.com/forums
tsikot.yehey.com/classifieds –> tsikot.com/classifieds
tsikot.yehey.com/gallery –> tsikot.com/gallery

The forums and gallery system will be updated and reopened once the migration/transfer has been completed.

The old tsikot.yehey.com classifieds that are integrated with the forums registration system will be updated and reopened.

During the transfer of the databases, the forums will not be closed. However, new registrations, new thread creation and thread replying/commenting will be disabled. This way, no new data will be written and during the transfer and subsequently be lost once the community is live in our new servers.

The duration of the transfer process will be from 36 to 48 hours or more.

The Tsikot.com Community has been advised of the possible downtime and appealed for understanding for the inconvenience.

Phoenix Gas, in cooperation with Tsikot.com and Eventus, will hold Autofest 2009 on July 25, 2009, Saturday, at the Phoenix Gas Station in Molino Cavite.  This event kicks off the Tsikot Autofest Carshow series of activities for this year.

The one-day event will feature a car show, dBDrag Competition, Radio-Controlled Car Drifting, live concert and many more!

We apologize for the sudden downtime of the Tsikot Forums, Car Finder and Gallery.

We are finally transferring the whole site to new and upgraded servers. However this is being done in phases to avoid an inordinately long downtime — beginning with the physical transfer of the files and databases, optimization and load balancing systems.

The complete transfer will be finished in several days but the different components of the community will be online one after the other in several hours or so.

Please don’t expect a marked improvement in the page loading and site speeds in the immediate future. This will be a very long process. But when after everything is completed, you can expect a much better (and faster) Tsikot Experience.

For the meantime, you can visit the Tsikot Temporary Tambayan over at our sister site at Gadgets Talk Philippines. Everyone is enjoined to sign-up using their same nick in tsikot and participate in the discussion threads of Gadgeteer-Tsikoteer members.

The downtime period is indefinite and might take longer than expected.
